Max Heimberger is an emerging independent filmmaker based out of Brooklyn NY. When not writing or directing, Max can be found battling existential dread, waxing poetic about reality tv with his partner Carly, cuddling his cats much tighter than they’d like, or reading Thomas Pynchon. He is surely working on another film he can’t wait for you to see.
Max focuses on real world stories with deep characters, flawed but lovable. The things that inspire his filmmaking are: falling in/ out of love, demolition derbies, the films of Paul Thomas Anderson, The Jesus and Mary Chain, New York City, found family, hope and hopelessness and what it might mean to be alive.
